He once served as Director of the Institute of Education as well as Vice President and the Party Secretary of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, Tsinghua University, Editor-in-Chief of Tsinghua Journal of Education, and Director of the Academic Committee of China Engineering Education Accreditation Association (CEEAA), etc. Prof. WANG is a winner of the National Teaching Achievement Award, and also the winner of the Award for Outstanding Achievements in Philosophy and Social Sciences and the Award for Outstanding Achievements in Educational Scientific Research in China and Beijing for many times. In November 2019, he was awarded a Special Acknowledgement Medal by the President of World Federation of Engineering Organizations (WFEO). He has presided over and participated in multiple major research projects of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Ministry of Education, including China’s accession to the Washington Accord, the most influential agreement of international recognition of engineering education programs.
